Hey y'all, continuing in the vein of procrastination-induced posting...

I had a dream last night in which I awoke from a dream and sat up in bed to find Jerry Garcia (circa 80-82) sitting behind my desk and using my computer, just kinda of grinning at me. He clicks the mouse and Tenn. Jed begins playing from the speakers as he smiles mischievously at me... (I naturally assumed he must have been browsing the Archive). All I could utter to him was, "You really enjoy playing this song, don't you?"...

and then I woke up...

I've had other dreams where the GD (with Pigpen) are playing in the ballroom at my college and I'm in the audience rockin' out... keep in mind my first live show was Eric Clapton in 2004...

Well I hope I'm not the only one out there experiencing this sort of thing... ?? Would love to hear some of yours...

I once had a lovely long and vivid dream about being Jerry’s personal tour chef, traveling with the band on the road. Most of the details are lost to me now, but I remember that he was only eating healthy vegetarian food, and it was the best dream I ever had.

I actually currently work with a man who was the personal chef for the dead in the late 70's into the 80's. I just found this out about him at his retirement party a month ago after working with him for 15 years!! He has some interesting stories about the band.

He also cooked for the stones, sex pistols, fleetwood mac and got fired on his first day cooking for the who!

That's freaky; I had the exact same dream too. Except in
mine, Dire came in the room, hit the mute button,
slapped the piss outta Jerry and told him to play a
different song...

Haha no, I was definitely awake for EC... my first show and my mom took me. When Robert Randolph started playing Purple Haze... my mom, in a mild state of shock, commented that the people around us "weren't smoking regular cigarettes anymore..."
